Happy Spring and Easter!!!

IT'S SPRING!

Oh yes. I love the color of the plants, everything becoming new.

It made me want to take pictures of everything blooming, the blue sky. Much to my sister's chagrin.

Me: "Ooh, look at this flower picture! It turned out so nicely! You can see the details here of the..."
Sister: "mmhm. okay. You've shown us enough flower pictures. C'mon.... I've already seen 50 of these pictures"

I can definitely sympathize.

But I'm just so happy for spring! I think I have spring fever.
Mark Twain said:
“It's spring fever.... You don't quite know what it is you DO want, but it just fairly makes your heart ache, you want it so!”

The breeze is blowing the trees and the sky is the perfect shade of blue.
I know that I'm going on and on about this, but this winter seemed
SO LONG.
SO COLD.
I did get to make a cute snow seal, though. :)

Now that everything is renewing and growing, it just fills me with excitement. Don't worry, I will not complain about the heat this summer, no matter how hot it gets, I know that I've done a  lot of whining this winter.

The only bummer about spring is the allergies. I've been lucky so far. Whatever that plant is that I'm allergic to hasn't bloomed yet. Hallelujah!

This week I had a epiphany.
I was playing some chord patterns on the guitar.
EUREKA.
I was playing a song.
A real song that you actually hear on the radio.
It was exciting.
I've had that happen before and it makes me giddy.
Excited. Let's put it that way.
Speaking of, I think that I'll go practice some more.

Listening to the hour of BBC on NPR is fun.

I love their accents, the staccato way of speaking.
I can imitate it to some extent; most people can.

Unless they’re hard of hearing.
Back when I worked at Chick-fil-a, to make things more interesting for myself, I would assume an accent.

Once I did a “southern belle” accent.  Most people ignored it.
There are SO MANY people here in the south (go figure) who actually talk like that, it didn’t make a difference...
Then the next day I did a bit of a British accent, just ever so slightly staccato with that nice bright sound. Lots of people bought it. It was amusing.
Of course, I told them the truth when they asked where I was from.

Lucky for me, I’d stopped with the accent before I had some real Britons for guests. That would have been terribly embarrassing to talk to them with a fake accent.

I've noticed that I have a different way of talking since I my braces were put on...
only another year...and my teeth shall be free!

The other day, I got to change the color of the bands on my braces.
I went with silver.
I know that it's boring, but occasionally  going with the vanilla is okay.
Sometimes it's relaxing to go with the no nonsense thing.

Usually I love to go with the quirky, the interesting.
But with these braces, I decided to go with what was quirky to me.
It was nice to mix things up like that.

Okay, so most of this was written last week.
I was too lazy to click "post". There shall be more randomness to come...

Happy Easter! HE IS RISEN!

"Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade—kept in heaven for you, who through faith are shielded by God's power until the coming of the salvation that is ready to be revealed in the last time."
1 Peter 1:3-4
